Welcome to Sunday Sauce!
I’m Maria Del Russo, a writer, branded content consultant, and a relationship-obsessed chronic over-thinker. I’ve been a writer for over a decade, contributing work to publications such as The Cut, The Washington Post, Glamour, Elle Magazine, Bustle, Playboy, where I served as the brand’s advice columnist, and Refinery29, where I wrote about my dating life in a column titled “It’s Not You.”
I’ve come a long way since my days of writing about shitty Tinder dates and my fear of being alone, but I still love writing about relationships. Sunday Sauce is where I sit down every week and attempt to sort through the somewhat-messy reality of being a modern woman raised in a traditional culture. You can expect essays on femininity, culture, food, sex, love, and more. But mostly, I hope that this newsletter serves as a way for women approaching middle age to feel a little less alienated by the tangle of thoughts worming around their head on the daily. If that sounds good to you, hit the button below, and I’ll show up in your inbox every Sunday.
Thanks for being here!
